Please familiarise yourself with the below policies we have in place at Honey Rose ahead of your visit.
All new bookings are required to pay a non-refundable deposit to secure an appointment for any hair or beauty treatments at Honey Rose. An appointment will not be scheduled until the deposit is received. When making your appointment you will be given the details on how you can pay and how much this will be. It is important to note that for the deposit to be deducted, all the treatments booked in must be had on the original day and time the appointment is made. We are happy to make changes or rearrange the original appointment once only, if 72 hours notice is given. We do not offer refunds on deposits once an appointment is made. Where a deposit has not been paid, please try to give 48 hours’ notice if you cannot make your appointment. If you forget to attend your appointment or cancel with less than 24 hours’ notice we charge a cancellation fee of 50% of the treatment you were booked in for. Please understand that this is not something we enjoy enforcing but have had to introduce due to the amount of business we lose because of last minute cancellations. The fee we ask you to make will cover the cost of our time that we can’t offer to anyone else with such short notice.
We do ask that you attend your appointment alone, your treatment requires our full attention, and therefore we cannot entertain other guests, especially not little ones. We also want you to fully enjoy your treatment and relax, bringing someone with you may cause distraction and we cannot accept responsibility for any hazards that may occur, as they will be out of our control. A salon is not a safe place for children due to the surrounding sharps, hot wax and electrical appliances within the premises.
On your first visit to Honey Rose you will be asked to fill out a detailed record card with attached treatment sheets. This is a standard professional practice which helps us determine if the treatment you are booked in for is right for you and that you are not allergic to any of the products we may use. If we have to deny you a treatment for any reason you will not be charged. Throughout your time visiting Honey Rose, it is YOUR responsibility to notify us of any changes to your personal circumstances; e.g. pregnancy, medications, bruises, broken bones, anything that you believe may affect your treatment. Pregnancy causes changes to your hormones, body and hair texture/growth along with other things. It is important we are made aware of this as your treatment time may need to be altered or we may need to rearrange you until another trimester/post-pregnancy. Any information we collect is stored safely, and only the staff of Honey Rose will have access to these records. These records can be discarded off at any time with written request to do so. Any questions we ask are for treatment purposes only, if anything seems intrusive or you need to discuss something privately, please ask your therapist to take you in a different room. Please don’t hesitate to ask any questions before your treatment begins.

We do take pictures of our work with your permission. These will be posted to our public social media accounts.

No patch test no treatment. Some of our treatments require you to have a patch test before they can go ahead. We will notify you if you need to have one and arrange a time that you can come in. They need to be carried out at least 24 hours prior and take a minute or 2 to do. We do follow this policy strictly so if you turn up to your treatment without having a patch test, it will have to be rescheduled. As it is your responsibility to attend the salon for a patch test, deposits will not be carried over if you fail to have one in time. At the time of the patch test we will go through what a potential reaction may look like and what to do if you experience one. Please note – although a patch test can determine a potential allergy, a reaction may still occur once you are fully exposed to the product, a reaction doesn’t always occur immediately.

We reserve the right to refuse our services to anyone that may have expectations we cannot meet, are rude to our staff/any other clients or inappropriate. You can be asked to leave the salon at any point during your treatment if any of the above occur. As we understand with our clients, things can happen outside of our control. If we may be late for a treatment due to traffic conditions or we need to cancel your appointment due to illness or emergency, we will notify you as soon as we can. We will do our absolute best to get you in with another therapist to carry out your treatment if you’d prefer not to reschedule. It is very rare that we have to make last minute changes.

Thank you for taking the time to read this. If you have any questions regarding our above policies, please don’t hesitate to ask.
Chloe, Salon Owner.
Nail policy
We heard you want pretty nails that last you at least two weeks?
We can create pretty nails; we are qualified, knowledgeable therapists with the right tools, great products and lots of experience to do just that! However the durability and ongoing condition requires your hands to be in ours for the full duration of your appointment and we need you to follow our aftercare! Can you do that? Unsure why this is so important? Have a little read below to help you understand further…

Have you seen the prep that goes into your nails? Always wondered why we carry out so many steps with so many products? It isn’t magic, it’s a scientific process! Each step is in place to be sure your nails are completed to a high standard; we check on the health of your nails, make sure the treatment your having is ideal for you and prepare the plates to bond effectively with the chosen product!

We need you to keep your hands still, reaching for your phone, touching your hair, pulling something off your clothing (you get the jist) – allows for other residues to come into contact with your freshly prepped nail plates, meaning the little bit of cotton that fell on to them or the skins natural oils COULD prevent our product from setting as well as it should! This could result in your nails lifting shortly after your appointment! Moving your hands excessively once the product is on could encourage it to seep into the side walls or too close to the cuticle – another reason lifting occurs! If you have a picture, send it to your therapist so your phone isn’t needed! Enjoy your treatment without distraction! Expecting an important call? Rearrange your appointment with us to a more suitable time – we will understand! Of course you can still enjoy Elise’s famous brews! But only during the removal of the old gel, once prep has begun we need your hands super still and ready for us when we are!
Love checking on the progress? Taking your hand out the machine to admire the colour? Oopsy you didn’t only expose the nails to air longer than need be, disrupting the chemical reaction in the UV lamp, you also just caught the uncured gel on the table meaning your therapist has to start again, limiting the time for the best bit; nail art!
Sound like a military operation? It is! Nails are an art, and we want to provide the best treatment for you to the highest standard we can, so we need your help! Put your hands in ours, relax and enjoy your service!
